Nude Canadian film director and writer Nadia Louis Desmarchais
Nadia Louis-Desmarchais is a Canadian-born Afro-feminist director and sreen writer who aspires to give a voice to those who are too often refused to hear. She directed the short documentary films "Raconte-Moi mon corps", "Urug" and the controversial "Rated X", official selection of the Festival Regard, Rendez-Vous Québec Cinéma and the Filministes Festival. His first fictional short film "Do You Glance? He celebrated at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, the VGIK International Film Festival in Moscow and the Cinema on the Bayou. His most recent fictional short Nid D’oiseau"Nidtoms" was coined the jury's special mention at FICFA for Canada's best short film. Nadia developed her first fictional web series "The Meteorites" in collaboration with TOU.TV. His first documentary medium-length film “Composed” was supported by SODEC in production in the Emerging Creation Support Programme. Director of the anthological series "Black Life: A Canadian History" soon to be broadcast on CBC, Nadia puts forward a deep and well-being sensitivity to her artistic approach. It is by writing and producing intimate scenarios that cinema becomes, for it, universal. Nadia Louis-Desmarchais is known for Les météorites (2024), Nid d'oiseau (2022) and Dors-tu? (2021).
